A letter from Lillian......

What a true vacation! No worries of obligations. We're truly and honestly
enjoying everyday! Went through Riverton, Utah and saw Ellie for a moment
before we had to leave FAST to beat a big 'ole snow storm. -- On to Illinois
and the 3 day Chicagoland Show. So many people who respect Bill and simply
"must" talk with him for his advice. I enjoyed watching that for 3 days!

Then our trip officially started. Lincoln in Springfield, Ill.--Caverns in
Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee--Santa Claus, Indiana what a hoot--Rocket and
Space Center in Alabama is something not to miss--DisneyWorld always
amazing--then up the eastern sea board. We discovered The Outer Banks of South
Carolina. If you like the ocean and white soft sands I recommend this as a
destination ( I have a hotel and room number for you too!). Great lighthouses.
And immersed ourselves in visiting Civil War battlefields.

It's always fun to "see" someone on the trip from Napa:
--Char, you have a third sister at Marengo Caves, Indiana
--Sue, you were totally rushing to find a lost little one at Churchill
Downs, Kentucky Derby tour
--Lisa, you were calling my name three times at Cape Kennedy but I never
found you!
--Joan, your true identical twin was at Brookgreen Gardens, South Carolina
fascinated by the 800 statues and magnificent 300 acres of gardens!
--And what was Gert doing at the dinky picnic tables at lunchtime for the
U.S.S. Yorktown aircraft carrier? That was weird.

It's been really magnificent and fabulous weather. Missed a tornado by 12
hours, enjoyed a lightening storm panoramic display for 30 minutes but not
storm on us. And just now we have arrived, finally, at our destination that
started this magnificent trip: Washington D.C. Huzzah!!

Miss you all -- Wish you were here -- it's fabulous!
Love to you all,
Lillian
