From the Book Club.....

This summer our group read two books, Les Miserables by Victor Hugo and Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson. We read the 400 page version of Les Mis, but Jennifer K. read the complete novel at 1,200 pages!!! We all loved the book and were grateful we choose to read this amazing classic. Three Cups of Tea is a true story of one mans journey to promote peace one school at a time in Pakistan. It is truly a story about how just one person can change the world. Lisa K. said it changed her life.

This month we are reading Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt. It won a Pulitzer Prize. In the story the author is a young boy in Ireland early in the 20th century. It is truly a story of survival and growth beyond all odds.
On October 7th we will meet at Judy B.'s at 7pm to talk about this book and have a great dessert made by Patty C. If anyone has questions give Sue L. a call

  1. There is another interesting site to go to that tells you how long food will last in the pantry/refrigerator. It is www.stilltasty.com. It answers alot of questions.
